JW Hinks staff away day

On Tuesday 9th July, 2024, JW Hinks had the pleasure of hosting our highly anticipated staff away day at the picturesque Bournville Rugby Club. This day was not only a chance to enhance our skills and foster team spirit but also an opportunity to have a lot of fun together. We were thrilled to welcome four new starters to our team, and their fresh perspectives and enthusiasm added a special touch to our day!

Morning communication workshop

The day began with a dynamic communication workshop led by the brilliant James Perryman from Momentus. This session was a fantastic way to kick off our activities, focusing on improving workplace communication. James provided us with a range of strategies and tools to enhance our interactions and foster a more cohesive and harmonious work environment. The workshop was not only informative but also engaging, encouraging us to connect on a deeper level with our colleagues and strengthen our interdepartmental relationships.

BBQ lunch

After an invigorating morning session, we were ready for a well-deserved break. Our BBQ lunch was a delightful experience, offering a relaxed and informal setting to mingle with colleagues, reflect on the morning’s insights, and recharge for the afternoon’s adventures. It was a great opportunity to catch up and share thoughts, making the day even more enjoyable.

Tabletop escape room challenge

The afternoon brought a thrilling challenge as we dove into a tabletop escape room activity led by Eventurous Ltd. This engaging experience tested our problem-solving skills, time management, and critical thinking. Divided into teams, we tackled puzzles and cracked codes, working together to pull off the ultimate heist. The escape room challenge was not only intellectually stimulating but also a testament to the power of teamwork and collaboration.

Wrapping up

As the day came to a close, we were left with a sense of accomplishment, stronger team bonds, and fond memories of a day well spent.
